The Apixia Phosphor Plates are Wafer–thin. The Apixia Phosphor Plate Scanner reads images stored on photo stimulable phosphor
storage plates (PSP), which are perfectly shaped for patient comfort. With rounded corners, and 10 times thinner than hard sensors, our PSP imaging plates are always comfortable—for children and adults.

BENEFITS

A wireless, soft, reusable plate is placed in a protective barrier. The PSP is placed in the patient’s mouth (using traditional film holders for intraoral radiographs or into the panoramic cassette for extraoral radiographs) and exposed to radiation. Then the PSP is placed in the scanning device and data is immediately transmitted to the computer

Apixia Phosphor Storage Plates are designed for use with the Apixia PSP Scanner. However, the Apixia Phosphor Storage Plates will work with nearly every top loading PSP Scanner
